Lab Sales Rep required

We have a fantastic new job in for a Diagnostic/Laboratory Sales Specialist for Dublin -

Role Function -

This Laboratory Sales Rep will be responsible for the management of territory sales for a diverse range of Laboratory diagnostic equipment and kits, within a specified territory area.

Expertise within the area of Life Sciences and Molecular Pathology would be desirable but not essential.  

 The current customer base is in the Clinical and Industrial markets.

It includes but is not exclusive of the following contact groups: Laboratory/Pathology Managers; Medical Technician decision makers; Medical Consultants and Nurses; Phlebotomy/Infection control Managers; Purchasing/ Supply Managers; QA/QC/R & D Managers

Essential Requirements -

A third level qualification in a scientific field which incorporated exposure to a laboratory environment
2-3 years Sales experience working in a similar environment, preferably within the Laboratory Market

A proven successful track record in Hospital  sales in Ireland
A full, clean drivers license
IT literacy: Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ability to work independently and self-reliantly where strong flexibility and time management skills will be key
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Drive and self-motivation
The ability to close out opportunities and develop them into budget achievements and long term business

 
The ability to establish and maintain high quality partnerships with Customers
Flexible approach to working hours during busy periods

The ideal candidate:

• Degree qualified in Marketing/ Business
• 5-6 yrs experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, of FMCG businesses.
• 2 years experience in product management
• Knowledge and experience of the local Irish market

This job will involve developing comprehensive and complex marketing/ product reports

You will be required to manage a range of products for use by HCP’s

You must have an understanding of the healthcare/ pharmaceutical market, Healthcare in particular and key opinion leaders.

What is Medical Technical Sales? Medical Technical Sales can be the sale of services or equipment which have a technical basis to them. This can involve a  very large range  of services  or equipment ranging from either Diagnostic Imaging (X-Rays, CAT scans MRI etc), PACS & Tele-Radiology, Diagnostics & Physiological Monitoring, Endoscopy
Ophthalmics & ENT or Urology & Surgical equipment.

Needless to say the markets for these can be just as large- consider the markets for syringes, X-ray imaging, Diagnostics imaging equipment all of these are extremely profitable for the companies  involved in them that either manufacture or distribute for OEM’s (Original Engineering Manufacturer).
